One hinged shield that closes over the classroom door
The Falcon Guardian is a single hinged ballistic door — not a two-door set and not a replacement for the door you already have. It mounts at the classroom opening and stays out of the way during normal school days.
In a shooter situation, staff close and lock the classroom door exactly as they are trained to, then slam the Guardian shut over the threshold and secure it. The opening that is normally the most vulnerable surface in the room is now covered by rated armor.
The result is a room that holds. Instead of a hollow-core door and a single latch, the class is behind ballistic armor while officers respond.
The Guardian is built to the same protection level as the Falcon Shield — NIJ 0101.07 RF1 (legacy Level III+) and UL 752 Level 8 — so the door matches the armor your team already trusts.

One ballistic leaf — not a door set
The Guardian is one hinged ballistic door, not a two-door replacement system. Your existing classroom door stays exactly as it is; the Guardian mounts alongside the opening and swings closed over it.
Armor layered over the existing door
Staff close and lock the classroom door as trained, then swing the Guardian shut over the threshold — putting rated armor across the opening that is normally the weakest surface in the room.
Latching hardware at the frame
The Guardian slams shut and secures against the frame, resisting gunfire and forced-entry attempts at the latch and hinge lines rather than relying on the classroom door's single latch.
Deployable from inside the room
A teacher can pull the Guardian closed and secure it from inside the classroom in a single motion — no tools, no keys handed out in advance, no stepping into the hallway.
Fits standard classroom openings
The Guardian mounts to existing classroom door openings during a summer or holiday window. The original door and hardware stay in place, so there is no structural remodeling in most buildings.

The Falcon Guardian is rated at UL 752 Level 8 — the highest level on the UL 752 scale — and performs in the rifle threat range that NIJ Standard 0101.07 designates RF1 (the class that replaced the retired Roman-numeral Level III / III+ designations). Most legacy shields stop at UL 752 Level 3 handgun protection, equivalent to NIJ handgun class HG2.
